Learning Support
At Link-Up we have a relaxed and informal educational set up. The young people that attend are excepted to complete at least one qualification or certificate throughout the year.
There are planned activities and projects going on throughout the year that the young people find interesting and it helps break up the monotonous routine to keep the young people engage.

Foundation Learning Support Programme
Engages with 23 young people who make up the two group; the majority of the young people have completed the work needed to achieve the NOCN Step Up Entry 3 Award, we are currently awaiting moderation. We have recently received certificates from EDCC, 17 of our learners have gained various computer qualifications, since September. Over the past week we have completed ‘Introduction to food, drink and cooking’ within this unit the young people made a deluxe hot chocolate and a range of fruit smoothies. As a number of the learners do not eat fruit this was a challenge, but was enjoyed. We are still working towards our Wii fit mission, which requires the young people to weekly improve their performance in a range of sporting activities. The unit also requires them to track their progress and evaluate their development. We will let you know their results. A number of activities have been booked to take place between now and Christmas, we have just organised the Christmas trip to Xscape Castleford and we can’t wait!!!!
