- Fotopedia
Fotopedia
This site aims to replicate the reference website Wikipedia, but in pictures – and it has over 14,000 entries already.
You will need to download the Fotopedia client to add pictures to the site from your hard drive or a variety of storage sites like Flickr, Picasa, and Facebook.

Digital World
World Digital Library
This website has a virtual museum of cultural treasures such as manuscripts, maps, rare books, musical scores, recordings, films, prints, photographs, and architectural drawings.
It can be viewed in a variety of languages including Russian, Arabic and Chinese – click on the thumbnails to find details about each piece, videos and articles.

EMYTV
VIEWMY.TV
This global television portal allows you to tune in to certain channels from around the world and watch TV through your web browser.
You can access the content by genre, or look up programmes from a particular region and country.

I Will Knot
Learn how to tie a variety of popular and useful knots in the categories of stopper knots, hitches, loops and bends.
Click on thumbnails for the instruction pages, where you can watch a video clip with instructions broken down into step by step stages.

Future Me
Like the website itself the concept is brilliantly simple – you just write a letter to yourself, add your email address and set a date for delivery and futureme.org will take care of the rest.
Don’t forget to make the mail private if you don’t want the world to read it – and talking of which, this is a really intriguing way to spend a few minutes.

Full Text Archive
This site is an archive of books, poems and plays by authors ranging from Anne Bronte to Jules Verne.
Use the search box provided to hunt out a particular work or author, or you can browse the titles alphabetically in a rather clunky fashion.
Skip to the bottom of the homepage if you want to explore the popular files.

Story Bird
STORYBIRD
This site enables children to collaborate on building a simple picture story book online.
There is a huge library of art to browse through until you find a set of pictures that inspire you.
Once you have picked images, drop them one by one onto the page. All the resizing and positioning of text is done automatically.

Earth Tv
EARTH TV
Earth TV transmits streaming video feeds from 70 cameras across five continents, creating a window for visitors to travel the width and breadth of the world from the comfort of their own homes.
The quality of these feeds is exceptional, and unlike the usual fixed camera viewpoint, Earth TV can motion control each camera to capture the very best of the action.

Year Book Yourself
See yourself in glorious retro fashions dating back to 1950. Finding the perfect image to use can be tricky – you may get best results from using the option to take a picture with your webcam if you have one installed.
Your face should be dead straight on to the camera, and have no hair or other obstruction across your face. Once you have an image inserted, tweak the size and position.

I was not impressed with viewmytv. I found it very slow running and had
difficulty in finding various channels. I Will Knot was easy to follow, clear and concise.
